For 40 years, LYNRED has been designing and manufacturing high-performance infrared detectors and modules for thermal imaging systems used in the most demanding environments. The company's technological expertise is driven by its strong technical and industrial legacy, resulting from the merger between Sofradir and ULIS in 2019, which have since been brought together under the same identity.

Empowered by its philosophy of "See Beyond Horizons", LYNRED offers an end-to-end range of infrared imagers spanning the entire infrared spectrum (SWIR, MWIR, LWIR and VLWIR) through five different technologies (MCT, InGaAs, IGN, T2SL and Microbolometer).

LYNRED, a best-in-class French company, actively operates in eight strategic markets: Defense, Space, Security & Surveillance, Drones (Uxs), Hunting & Leisure, Environment (OGI, Thermography, Firefighting), Automotive & Mobility, and Machine vision. Based in Veurey-Voroize (south-eastern France), LYNRED is major player in the local economy. 4.5. Participating in protecting the environment

Fully aware of our environmental responsibility, LYNRED is committed to helping set society on a path towards a low-carbon future. We incorporate decarbonization objectives into our industrial projects, we upgrade our processes for greater energy efficiency, and we develop infrared solutions that can be used to monitor greenhouse gas emissions and detect leaks.  

LYNRED has formed an inseparable bond with its local region, which is home to a leading industrial and technological ecosystem. Our site in Veurey-Voroize (south-eastern France) is the nerve center for all our strategic activities, including research & development, production, qualification testing and customer support. This is where we design and produce our infrared detectors and modules.

Proud of its local roots, LYNRED is actively engaged in local community life alongside the Grenoble metropolitan area. At the same time, the company is fully determined to grow its presence in Europe. We are involved in programs spearheaded by such agencies as ESA and CNES, and we are contributing to the goal of consolidating a sovereign photonics and infrared industry as an active member of Photonics21. We are taking part in a number of strategic projects, including the IPCEI on microelectronic technologies with the ambition of strengthening the continent's industrial independence.

In 2020, LYNRED was awarded the "Industrial Showcase of the Future" label, which pays tribute to French companies leading exemplary industrial transformation strategies. The Campus project perfectly illustrates this idea: LYNRED is currently developing the most ambitious project to extend and upgrade its industrial site since the company's inception back in 1986. This landmark €85m program represents a milestone in our development and builds on our objective of meeting the growing level of demand for cutting-edge infrared technologies and bolstering French industrial and technological sovereignty.

Finally, through its partnership with Université Grenoble Alpes' INP Foundation, and true to its desire to continue supporting a strong innovation culture, LYNRED is funding the Deep Red Industrial Chair, whose work is focused on processing and analyzing infrared data more effectively with artificial intelligence. The Chair is financing two theses, one on the fusion of visible and infrared images, and the other on AI-powered methods for analyzing infrared sequences.
