In response to the challenges in today's and tomorrow's world, we firmly believe that a company can only achieve long-term prosperity by striking the right balance between economic performance, environmental protection and social progress. Therefore, we have decided to ensure that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) represents the very driving force behind our ambitions and strategy with the clear goal of reducing our impacts, creating value for society and meeting our customers' expectations.

Our CSR policy is based on a business plan, which we have named "avenIR" after the French word for "future", and is based on three key pillars, i.e. Environment, HR and Ethics

We have implemented a number of tangible commitments to guide our company down the path to even greater sustainability and responsibility, supported by on-the-ground actions and solid engagement throughout the company.

Check out this page for the low-down on our initiatives and the ways in which we can work together in building a more sustainable future.

1.Our environmental commitments: Reduce our environmental footprint and build the future!

Protecting the environment is both a collective responsibility and a strong commitment at LYNRED. Fully aware of our impact, our company is going the extra mile to fully incorporate environmental aspects into our operational management practices and strategic decisions.

We have developed a business plan, named avenIR after the French word for "future", to bring greater structure to our approach for minimizing our environmental impacts and to shine the light on the actions aimed at onboarding all our employees. The plan features the following seven focus areas

circular economy
  • Decarbonization,
  • Water efficiency,
  • Ecodesign,
  • Sustainable procurement
  • Circular economy,
  • Environmental culture, and
  • Responsible digital technology.

Our company has been ISO 14001-certified for many years, which explains why we have used a robust environmental assessment to prioritize our actions, starting with Decarbonization and Water efficiency.

After mapping our complete carbon footprint in 2023, which covers Scopes 1, 2 and 3, and includes all our direct and indirect emissions, representing the equivalent of 27,000 tCO2 a year, LYNRED adopted the "ACT Step-by-Step" methodology promoted by ADEME (France's environment & energy management agency) and international organization ACT Initiative

This methodology aims to provide companies with a structured framework for implementing a long-term decarbonization pathway combined with an operational action plan.

LYNRED is also actively pursuing a water efficiency plan to address the need to preserve water resources, whether through initiatives for reusing water or actions for reducing water consumption in the company's processes.

Empowered by a committed project team, a management committee sponsoring the approach and a long-term action plan, we are moving forward with the conviction that every effort, at each level of the company, counts in paving the way to a more sustainable future.

2. Our HR commitments: Strong HR commitments underlying our company

Since a company's wealth primarily depends on the men and women in its workforce, we ensure that people represent the focal point of all our commitments.
Check out this page for more information about all our actions relating to our HR commitments.

2.1. Diversity and Inclusion

We make every effort to create an inclusive workplace where everyone, irrespective of their background and specific qualities, feels at home and has every opportunity to grow and thrive in their chosen career.

Our commitments are reflected in three main actions aimed at promoting opportunities for people with disabilities, gender equality in the workplace and employability.

  • Disabilities: in addition to fulfilling our statutory obligations, LYNRED has implemented a company-wide agreement to promote recruitment, integration and employability for people with disabilities, such as adapting workstations to suit their individual needs and granting leave to complete various administrative procedures or attend medical appointments associated with their disability. LYNRED has also pledged to take part in at least two recruitment shows specifically for jobseekers with disabilities.

  • Gender equality in the workplace: Back in 2018, the French Government set up a scheme known as the GENDER EQUALITY INDEX for the purpose of measuring gender inequalities in the workplace. The index is based on a score out of 100 and is calculated over the course of a year according to five indicators:

3 dice representing man, woman, and equality

  • Gender pay gap
  • Pay rise gap
  • Promotion gap
  • The number of female employees receiving a pay rise after returning from maternity leave
  • Parity among the 10 highest paid employees

Every year, companies need to calculate and then publish their score on their website, which provides a clearer view of the progress that they have achieved in this area.

Based on the data for 2024, LYNRED once again obtained an excellent score of 93/100, which secures its place among the top 25% of companies in its sector.

For example, the percentage of women engineers in our company continues to rise every year and currently represents close to 30%, while a third of all management positions are held by women.

We are extremely proud of this result, which resonates with LYNRED's values and our commitment to promote gender equality in the workplace.

  • Employability: We are determined to include people on back-to-work schemes, as illustrated by our wide range of initiatives in this area, such as organizing visits to the company, incorporating new simulation-based recruitment methods and participating in work-study programs with job centers and adult education organizations.

2.2. Partnerships and ecosystem

Our responsibility extends far beyond the company's borders, as evidenced by our support for a number of local initiatives.

  • Local Economic Pact: we are actively involved in the Local Economic Pact alongside the region's public and private stakeholders with the goal of fostering stronger ties with the local ecosystem and helping improve the resilience and appeal of the Grenoble Alpes region. Read more.

  • SESAME: since 2024, LYNRED has been actively involved in the SESAME collective, which delivers support to associations helping the most vulnerable people across the Grenoble area. In addition to providing financial aid, our involvement in this initiative gives our employees an opportunity to show their support for these associations by making donations or performing voluntary work.

  • Academic partnerships: to learn more about our initiatives with schools, colleges and universities, visit our Employer Brand page

2.3. Health, safety and working conditions

Keeping our employees safe, protecting their health and ensuring their well-being are top priorities at LYNRED.

Our health department – a multidisciplinary team (three nurses, a physician and a social worker) – is constantly focused on looking after our employees' physical and mental well-being.

Our actions are focused on the following areas::

Preventing occupational risks – with special emphasis on musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
• Promoting health in general – information campaigns, screening, anti-addiction initiatives, first aid, etc.

As part of our belief that employee health is critical to the company's industrial performance, we provide them with a safe, healthy and caring work environment.

3. Ethical commitments: Ethics & Trust: the foundations underpinning our actions

Ethics is one of the cornerstones of our CSR strategy. LYNRED takes active steps to prevent corruption, protect personal data, uphold human rights across the value chain and allow everyone to safely report any inappropriate conduct. These commitments are enforced through solid programs, regular training and a shared culture of compliance.

The LYNRED Group has set up a whistleblowing system for all its business partners and employees in an effort to maintain an ethical and compliant work environment. Anyone can use our whistleblowing system to report any breach of the Code of Conduct, French law or applicable international standards committed by a LYNRED Group company or employee.

After receiving a report, a discreet internal verification process is launched to determine whether the report is admissible and subsequently establish the truth about the facts in the disclosure. Whistleblowers are granted protection according to the conditions specified by French law (except in cases of misuse).

Whistleblowing officers receive reports sent:

  • by email to alerte.interne@lynred.com
  • by post, addressed to a Whistleblowing Officer, LYNRED, 364 Avenue de Valence, 38113 Veurey-Voroize, France,
  • or by telephone, ask to speak to a "Whistleblowing Officer" on +33 (0)4 76 28 77 00).

Whistleblowers can also contact the Defender of Rights at any time to report a breach.

These systems play an instrumental role in honoring the trust that our customers, shareholders, suppliers and partners have placed in our company.
